  • Fully hallmarked. Every silver link bears a lion rampant impress mark, denoting the sterling quality of silver. 
  • Other hallmarks: T-bar and dog clip swivels show maker's mark PP Ltd. for Payton Pepper & Sons, who manufactured in Birmingham from the late 1800s to 1997. All possess the lower case letter in a bracketed square for the year 1900.
  • Fob is a pierced double-sided silver medal with no engravings. One side bears a gold washed cartouche with the strong Irish theme of clovers and a harp. Hallmark: lion rampant, anchor for city assay of Birmingham. lower case "d" in a bracketed square for the year 1903.
  • Note: One of the dog clips has a slightly weakened spring This should not present a problem. It was kept "as is" to maintain original vintage condition. It can be soldered closed if desired.
